View from the CactusPatch

The CactusPatch could be anywhere in the great southwest. In this case it is somewhere in the middle of New Mexico. Anyone who has ever grabbed hold of a range sheep knows, You wear your gloves! We will have a few recipes from the heart of ranch country, do some yarn spinning and some yarn spinning and tell some really tall tales too. I do promise to protect the guilty by using appropriate nicknames. The innocent can fend for themselves. They are usually guilty by association.

About Me

CactusPatchLamb
I have been a ranch cook for most of my life. Nobody messes with the Cook, even the bosses. Burned biscuits, coffee so thick you could float a horse on it and tough meats don't even get mentioned. I started spinning a few years back and love the feel of the fibers slipping through my fingers turning into yarns that I can crochet or knit. Then I lucked into a lovely floor loom! Now I don't keep a very neat house, only enough to keep the dust bunnies from becoming vicious. Fiber arts come first.
